THIS MIGHT SOUND CRAZY No Studio. No Power. No Pressure.

A GOODLUCK DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION
Following the tear-away success of their 2011 self-titled album, from which eight top ten hits were spawned, South African live electronic act, GoodLuck, set out to record their highly anticipated sophomore release, Creatures of The Night.
Looking for a challenge and desperate for a change, the band left behind the mechanics and confines of their studio, in search of ambient sound and inspiration in the vast and inhospitable Namibian outback.
Ignoring the seemingly insurmountable challenges, the group plunged into planning, researching meteorological patterns to find a window in the weather. Developing portable solar panel technology enabled them to power their energy-hungry studio, silently, and find ways to include the environment in their recordings.
In an industry bombarded by computer-made beats and regurgitated samplings, GoodLuck were determined to bring heart and organic sounds back into electronic music. This has never been attempted by a South African act – and the results speak for themselves.
With producer Ben’s objective to find unique sounds in the volatile Namibian climate and vocalist Jules’ challenge to overcome her writer’s block, the band recorded their remarkable second album Creatures Of The Night. Already having spawned the hit Trickery, the album is creating waves across not only South African radio, but also the globe.
The band filmed their experience and now launch their first documentary entitled ‘This Might Sound Crazy’. The documentary was launched at the international electronic music festival Amsterdam Dance Event, where Ben hosted two workshops demonstrating ‘Sampling In Nature’ to a host of international electronic music producers and DJ’s.
Once again back on top of their game, GoodLuck now launch the documentary and share their epic experiences with South African audiences.
