I…like many of my peers, dabble in many things, we are the ‘Jacks Of All Trades’ generation, it’s not strange to hear a bunch of cool kids in Braamfontein screaming: “I am a Fashion Designer, but I am also a Photographer”, over loud music at Great Dane or Kitcheners on any given Saturday. I am one those cool kids, copywriter by day, aspiring conceptual photographer by night. The two nearly have no time where they can meet because it’s me and my laptop writing Ad’s and me taking photo’s, with the Acer 2 in 1 with just a flick of a switch my laptop turns into a camera and an editing suite with access to my photo editing programs, which creates the golden thread for me.With the Acer 2 in 1 I can expressing my art, from thinking up scripts to snapping images, I go from writer to photographer with the ease of just detaching my #Intelinsideout Acer 2in 1.
My interest in conceptual photography started after hanging out in Braam and inner city Joburg for too long. That mixed with my earlier passion for drawing, had me wanting to marry the two so as to create something cool, something not so ordinary. In the beginning the creative process of photography was frustrating to me, because when you take a photograph with a camera, the process ends as soon as you pressed the shutter button
So I wanted to create something different, something where the process starts when you press the trigger, and because no one was doing what I was imagining, I had to look inside of myself for inspiration. I wanted to create conceptual photos of dream-like scenes, of course sometimes if not too often the results are outlandish but, I thought mine was an innovative approach to art.
