The Castle Lite Embassy Gets Cooler Than Ice And Pearl Thusi Is Re-elected For A 2nd Term

In case you’ve missed it Castlelite was at it again this past weeekend, they threw one of those massive extra cold parties with no chill, where you just don’t want to go home, you know the ones that have you so amped and excited to a point where you feel like there’s more coming (that what’s going to happen next kind of party).
Hats off to the creative team for the #TheEmbassy event, they really went beyond the call of duty here, what a cool experience, for a change a party that doesn’t entail music artists and DJs only. If you attended expecting a regular ‘TURN UP’ they defiantly put a spanner in the works. I mean when I hear of 4 stages I immediately think to myself “which of these stages will have majority of the crowds’ attention?” This wasn’t the case; the 4 stages rolled out in stages excuse the pun. It all began outside the main area and lead inside through a series of great reveals.
I don’t want to misquote one of my peers but, in the beginning the bar looked like we were” partying on a budget”. To everybody’s surprise, the mock walls was slammed by a big disco ball resembling a wrecking ball, opening up the warehouse even more, to an even bigger stage. It was a water tight show and BoyzNBuckz weren’t about to leave unnoticed, as if this is possible, unlikely. They (BoyzNBuckz) had a great show despite OkMalumkoolkat’s microphone difficulties that were later dealt with, they let Stilo loose and then Riky Rick and the whole time the squad was just behind them hyping each member up culturally, who (Riky) despite the “extra cold” couldn’t resist taking off his T-shirt off, LOL!
We also had a profound sit down with the lads backstage and they had plenty to say check that interview out on our Youtube page (The book of swag). Cassper Nyovest was set to perform last but, we also managed to grab him before he went on stage to speak on his BET nomination and the confidence of Castlelite’s team to do a show that omitted international acts for a change, “we at Family tree are quite honoured and grateful to a have major brand like Castlelite for putting big budgets and trusting in local talent and I’m sure this a feeling shared amongst all local artists” said Cassper Nyovest before ripping the stage a new one, he smashed his perfomance …Again!
The Embassy event is a build up event to the much anticipated Republic Of Extra Cold of which people had to vote for a leader for, and much to nobody’s surprise the ever smiling, gorgeous Pearl Thusi emerged head and shoulders above Sizwe Dhlomo and Warras the Shady Lurker. We can’t wait to hear her state of nation address and well what will be in her budget speech.
