RINGO SET TO INGITE AMSTEL GOLDEN HOUR AT MACUFE JAZZ FESTIVAL

Amstel is proud to once again be bringing the Amstel Golden Hour to the Macufe African Cultural Arts Festival. This year the premium music experience, which has become synonymous with the best in local talent, has raised the bar by uniting three extraordinary forces from the African music scene; an acclaimed legend, a highly sought after neo-jazz saxophonist and an up and coming vocalist.

This year’s Amstel Golden Hour at Macufe will see the king of Afro Pop Ringo Madlingozi, known for his powerful stage performances, unite with dynamic saxophonist Ayo Solanke, as well as the up and coming vocal sensation Zuri.

Ringo, who is no stranger to the Golden Hour stage promises his usual stellar performance:
“I am ecstatic to have been called for the second time to perform on this prestigious stage that seeks to highlight the greatness that the South African music industry has to offer. The highlight for me will be creating an experience with two outstanding artists who each have a unique way of interpreting music.”

Ringo’s magnetic stage presence and legendary voice coupled with Ayo’s vibrant on stage personality promises, without a doubt, to be one of the highlights of the entire festival. This never before done collaboration will enthrall festival patrons.

The Amstel Golden Hour is activated at some of the country’s most loved festivals and feature amazing and often unexpected collaborations supported by the best in staging, lighting and sound technology.

“We at Amstel, are excited to welcome Ringo back to the Golden Hour stage and are equally thrilled to support the showcasing of up and coming artists who are also taking their time to perfect their craft under Ringo’s guidance. We urge fans to come and witness this memorable display of South African talent.” says Avukile Mabombo, Brand Manager Amstel Lager.

The Amstel Golden Hour at this year’s Macufe Festival will take place on Saturday October 11th at the Main Music festival. Over the years, music fans have come to know and love this platform as a place where we celebrate the best of South African music
