Africa Aerospace & Defence 2014 around the corner

With less than ONE month 2 GO

The show organizers have been working around the clock to

ensure a successful hosting of this world-class event. With over 300 defence and aerospace companies exhibiting at this years AAD, you can be assured of witnessing the latest and cutting edge innovations in mobility track demonstrations, parachute drops and aerobatic displays from across the globe.

Twenty years of South African Democracy

This year AAD coincides with the celebration of 20 years of freedom and democracy and the last few years have seen the profile of the industry evolve. Today the SADI is a non-aligned world-class industry that supplies equipment and services to the global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the aerospace, maritime and landward environments. Characterised by engineering ingenuity, technological innovativeness, affordability, reliability and cost effectiveness, the SADI is a partner of choice for many who seek state of the art defence equipment, including multilateral organisations that are involved in peacekeeping operations, as well as countries seeking to equip their defence establishments. Be part of this excitement as we take a walk down memory lane and reflect on how the aerospace industry was part of contributing to the Country’s democracy.

Excitement mounts with the announcement and launch of the AAD2014 mobi-app

The AAD2014 mobi-app is available for free download across both Apple and Android devices. The App was designed for you to have regular updates at your finger tips ensuring that you kept abreast with everything that is happening at show in real time.

Partnership with Limited Space Events

A partnership has been signed with LED Screen Visions

a wholly owned subsidiary of the Limited Space Media Group. This partnership is only but one of the many initiatives that are designed to deliver the best in first class visitor experience and also represents the next step in growth, where digital screen media is used to enhance exhibitors and visitor experience.

AAD connects with learners to address skills shortages in the Aerospace Industry

Staying true to the key focus of the Youth Development Programme, this year will see over 6000 learners from previously disadvantaged communities across the County come experience and connect with the world of Aerospace at AAD. The focus of this year’s program is to highlight the need and importance of creating awareness of the Aerospace industry and the careers that can be pursued to ensure that the skills required in this industry are promoted and maintained. By doing this the YDP seeks to market the aviation and defence industry as an employer of choice and also support the Government’s socio-economic development objective of promoting and improving maths and science results in schools.
