Samsung Electronics South Africa has announced the availability of the WB350F SMART Camera – an innovative camera with Dual Capture and baby monitoring capabilities. The various smart modes, that come standard with the WB350F, demonstrate how Samsung is responding to the increasing demand for in-device editing and personalisation.

Parents with a home Wi-Fi network can now also make use of the camera’s ‘baby monitor’ feature by simply connection and linking the device to a Samsung smartphone or tablet. Download the free Samsung Baby Monitor application from the Google Play Store directly to the smart device and activate on both the phone and camera. The camera automatically alerts the caregiver when the baby wakes up by tracking the ambient noise in the room. This is a safe and protected built-in feature which enables remote camera viewing to keep an eye on the baby, adding a visual benefit to the traditional walkie-talkie solution.

Tag & Go: Simply Tap to Share Memories

The WB350F is the perfect companion for photo-sharing enthusiasts everywhere, thanks to its next-generation NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity. Equipped with Samsung’s brand new ‘Tag & Go’ technology, the WB350F can connect to smartphones by simply touching the two devices together. Once paired, users have access to a host of intuitive features which makes sharing images fun and hassle-free. Photo Beam instantly transfers images being viewed on the camera to the paired smartphone, while with AutoShare, images are backed up instantaneously, as they are being taken. Using MobileLink, photographers can select which images they want to transfer to their smartphone, making it easy to organise the content of the camera. Also, in Remote ViewFinder mode, smartphones can be used to control the WB350F, allowing photographers to enjoy greater shooting freedom.

Another impressive facet of the device is its ability to capture Full HD video recordings at 30 frames a second, while the 75.0mm (3.0-inch) hVGA Hybrid Touch LCD Screen allows users to play back their recordings in an impressive definition while also allowing for simple and spontaneous navigation through both controls and text entry.
