PERSONAL PARADISE DANNY K feat DONALD & HEAVY K

Danny K follows up on his huge chart topping singles “Brown Eyes” and “Feels Good To Me” with Personal Paradise – the 3rd single from his award-winning album GOOD LOOK

Personal Paradise marks the merge of three of South Africa’s largest and most relevant artists – Danny K, House sensation Donald, as well as dance music’s newest super-producer, Heavy K.

Danny explains “ I really wanted to produce a song with a vocalist and artist who’s work excited me. I first watched Donald perform live at the 2012 SAMA Awards, and his vocal ability really impressed me. I knew that we would blend really well and that stylistically something interesting would happen if we got into a studio. I invited him round to the studio and in about an hour we had written Personal Paradise. We suspected that most people would expect a love song from us, so we purposefully didn’t do that. We instead wanted to deliver something inspirational, happy and positive. The metaphorical concept of a Personal Paradise captured what we were feeling. The result is something unique and very special”.

Danny then approached Heavy K at the 2014 Metro FM Awards. The two both won awards on the night, and promised to work together soon. A week later Danny sent the vocals that Donald and Danny had recorded to Heavy K and he instantly injected his magic on to the record.

“Heavy K took it to a whole new place”, says Danny. “He was able to create a base for our vocals to really shine, while at the same time turning into a real club banger.”
