I know we work in one of the most unpredictable industries in the world. Nothing is promised and nothing is guaranteed. We’ve all been broke, down and out of luck but being out of action due to ill health is a hard blow for one to deal with.
As entrepreneurs, we swear by independence and dying by our swords. In an industry where a community is usually fallacy or an anecdote of night life relations. Pulling together is an after thought.
I’ve known Mpho Ranko for almost 3 years now or more, but we’ve never met outside of work or what we call work “entertainment”.
He has never been one to be out of action or to miss out on any major event, conference or piece of content. Mpho is a genuine hustler.
Lately, we’ve been seeing less and less of Mpho. Little did we know that this hard working gentleman was bedridden at Helen Joseph hospital. When I first noticed one of his first posts about his condition, I thought to myself “he’ll be strong, we all go through some shit in life”. I found myself eating those words sooner after when he recently posted the amount of negligence he’s been experiencing due to his condition.
Please help Mpho Ranko whether you may know him or not. He has been diagnosed with skin cancer, not at all sure what stage it is in. Mpho has pleaded with us through his social media platforms.
He’s indicated that he has since run out of funds for his medical bills, any other basic needs one may require in communicating with family or friends.
