#Broville – Good Friends. Good Beer. Good Times.

It’s quite unusual for brands to get it right when trying to convey messages of appreciation to the consumers. It is usually through a spot prize, exotic getaway or some unattainable idea of some sort of life improvement.
Some brands have come really close to doing the right thing for the ones that buy their product and Castle Lager came reasonably close to getting it right with the correct target market.

Broville this past weekend was spot on and incredibly rewarding for Castle Lager drinkers. This was way more than a thirst quench, it was a little more than, a little extra. Imagine you’ve been giving without a thank you and finally one day without expectation you get a surprise “thank you’. I mean you drink anyway but you chose our beer and for that here is a little sign of appreciation from us. Free beer, foosball tables, indoor soccer facilities, and an opportunity to be groomed by the best barbers(sorbet) in the business

Broville was more than a communal activity between friends. It was an opportunity to make new ones, to let go of your everyday issues and thoroughly enjoy yourself without bounds or limitations. I mean they even had an overnight camp in case you had one too many castles.

What was a cold Castle Lager over a game of rugby, soccer or cricket without a little braai? Just another beer, but this time, not so little a braai. Imagine 30 braai stands and some in a row, lit up and hundreds of people going about their beer consumption business over charring flames and the smell of vleis and sounds of sizzling wors & sweet corn. The bar remained open till we couldn’t make it to it. To add to that, the best of SA’s entertainment industry were on standby to help you shake it like your mama gave you and by some I mean the likes of Nasty C, Riky Rick, Shekhinah Donnell, Aewon Wolf & Kyle Deutsch, Reason, Major League, Speedsta and PH.

Now nothing says we appreciate you more as our customer or good friend like a trip down nostalgia road. Nothing like having OG Bafana Bafana legends having it out with OG springbok and Proteas at an indoor soccer enclosure in front of sports loving ordinary people who wouldn’t be as close to their sports heroes as broville made it possible.

Some of the sports stars in attendance, both past and present, with whom Castle Lager has formed solid relationships these included the likes of Makhaya Ntini, Themba Bavuma, Damian De Allende, Lance Klusner, Bakkies Botha, Aaron Mokoena, Mark Williams, Herschelle Gibbs and Itumeleng Khune to name but a few.
