Martin Garrix speaks to us about Coachella

Martin Garrix answers a few questions around his highly anticipated set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival taking place in Indio California, Martin let us know how excited he us to finally make his debut at this iconic event.This is what he had to say to our questions.

Bongani: So tell me Martin, what was the first thing that came to mind when you found out that you will be playing at Coachella this year?

Martin Garrix: Haha wauw, I couldn’t believe it. I went out of my mind, so happy! It was one of my biggest dreams playing Coachella.

Bongani: How are you feeling about the line up and what are we to expect from
your set?

Martin Garrix: It’s a sick line-up, I’m honored to play next to all these awesome artists. I really can’t wait, I will give my all and drop some new tunes too! It will be massive!!!

Bongani: Over the year’s Coachella has been embracing EDM into it’s line up’s how do you feel about the progress that EDM has had through out the world and not neccesarily Coachella

Martin Garrix: It’s amazing how fast EDM is growing worldwide, so many people embracing it. Love seeing all this crowds with the same love and passion for music. I think it will keep on growing and expanding, there are so many possibilities for the sound of EDM it will develop more and more.

Bongani: Whose set are you looking forward to at this year’s event?

Martin Garrix: Disclosure, Dillon Francis, Calvin Harris to name a few!

Bongani: Is there a process behind your track selection for your set’s or do you just wing it? And if there is can you give us a short description of the process?

Martin Garrix: Well of course there’s a preparation, I have a selection of my favourite tracks and some new tunes, but I try to go with the flow of the crowds too.

Bongani: Are you going to drop some new tunes during your set at Coachella?

Martin Garrix: I think so yes 😉
