Samsung SMART Camera and Getty Images Launch Partnership
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and the global digital media company Getty Images, have announced a new partnership to help people across the globe share their stories through the unique power of photography.
“Joining forces with an iconic brand like Getty Images is a natural progression for Samsung. Getty Images is the perfect partner to allow our consumers from around the world to share their individual stories faster and through better quality images than ever before,” said Michael Gibson, Business Leader, Digital Imaging at Samsung Electronics South Africa. “Through this endeavour, we are empowering a generation of aspiring photographers to take their ambition to new heights.”
The partnership will bring together the unique capabilities and expertise of Samsung and Getty Images to drive connected photography, through shoot, create and instant sharing for the benefit of consumers. As part of this agenda, the agreement will see a commitment to the creation of bespoke content, starting with the launch of the “Samsung Collection” now available on gettyimages.com.
The Samsung Collection is a selection of premium editorial content shot by Getty Images’ top photographers using the Samsung NX SMART Camera. Samsung and Getty Images will also offer consumers the opportunity to become future contributors to the Samsung Collection using the NX system.
The perfectly stylish Samsung NX system, which produces stunning images, turns pictures into stories worth telling. The partnership with Getty Images will afford consumers an opportunity to discover memories and tell their own stories, to the rest of the world through the eyes of the NX lenses.
