Fak’ugesi Beats Bloc Party
The Fak’ugesi Beats Bloc Party hits Braam on Saturday and it will bring a potent mix of music, tech and art to the Tshimologong Precinct. The hefty line-up has everyone talking.
Your ears will get treated to 12 hours of beats, hip hop and soul on three stages from the likes of “Trap House Jazz” multi-instrumentalist Masego, LA-based beatsmith MNDSGN, SA’s soaring songbird Nonku Phiri and two artists from the globe-trotting Soulection crew, Hannah Faith and Joe Kay.

If that wasn’t enough you’ll also get performances from the mesmerising Zaki Ibrahim, beatmakers/DJs Melodiesinfonie (Switzerland), Evil Needle (France), Jozi’s own DJ Doowap as well as a live set from Capetonian duo Beat Sampras. Damn!

The event also promises to thrill your eyes and taste buds with digital art exhibitions and installations, a video games arcade, projection mapping and a variety of food trucks and bars.
This is the closing event of the Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival. This year’s edition introduced an all new partnership with Jozi’s well-established Weheartbeat collective who expertly curated the music programme which included panel discussions, workshops and collaborations in the Fak’ugesi Beat Lab.
Don’t miss the grand finale.
