We essentially have tried to evaluate what constitutes the best in SA, whether it be sneakers, fresh gear, music, youth culture or refreshments.. Well refreshments are a topic for another day.

In my opinion the culture in SA has changed so frequent and drastically if I may add, but there are a few individuals in our lifetime who’ve changed the game in terms of culture and or across disciplines.Globally Kanye West is that game changer in the pop culture perspective, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs etc… Are without a shadow of doubt #GameChangers in their own right. In recent months or just over a year,we’ve seen a few dudes come up and tear issh up, Lazi from Greiispaces is that dude in Illustration, The sick fashion duo known as The Sartists, one named Wanda and the other named Kabelo, son to the late great Shakes Kungwane are such dudes and Cassper Nyovest in the sense of the best representation of hip hop has done exactly what his predecessors and mentors have been trying to pull off for decades, slight exaggeration there! But they’ve tried to do what he managed to do with a single album within a 12 months duration. He is that Guy, if you don’t believe me, ask the young people of Mzansi, according to the Sunday Times Gen Next Awards he was the coolest musician in the country and the kids are all right.

Now we, the generation post Mbeki governance are all into our mini gadgets, I mean cellular phones. The best teams in this country are by a show of hands and this is open for discussion but I won’t let you because Chiefs and Pirates are by far the best this country has to offer and the only network that reaches far and wide, has the fastest internet and if you are in Joburg just look up and one if the iconic landmarks has their name in it, when people use lay man directions to guide their non-city-zens(Not From The City) friends is by saying; “go towards the Vodacom building” LOL.Vodacom has done best with the network providing and showing love to the most loved teams in the country.

I am on Vodacom and “Yebo Gogo” brings back fond memories plus the fact that I can get 3G & 4G in Zebediela doesn’t hurt either. These guys effectively changed the game for me, I was able to Skype my best friend Nat in New York while I was in ZB, that’s what changing the game is about. Kudos to Vodacom .
