Heineken Brings Footballing GOD To Soweto

Heineken went an extra mile for football fans last Tuesday in Soweto, and I am talking about die hard football loving loyalists of the game. What I mean by loyalists is; those that have been following the sporting code back before the rise of digital television when the World Cup tournament was the only opportunity you would catch international football geniuses live.
Heineken took it a step further for the discerning soccer enthusiasts who without effort would be in a tavern, a bar or the comfort of their own couch concentrating on this clash of European football titans in the champion’s league.

Barcelona and Bayern are one of the game’s most respected sides in the history of the sport. Heineken being the long time sponsor of Europe’s most elite football competition and also one must acknowledge it has made to the top of Mzansi’s most consumed beers in the 5 to 7 years. Heineken® delivered more than beer to PDL Car Wash in Soweto. When a truck bearing a branded container and booming the UEFA Champions League anthem pulled up outside the venue, little did soccer supporters who had gathered to enjoy the semi-finals match know that they were in for a legendary match night.

Soccer lovers didn’t have to squint their eyes as the great reveal of football great and one of the only players to win the Champion’s league twice with 2 different teams; the Portuguese legendary midfielder Deco was welcomed with warm and possibly hilarious hands by hosts of the night David kau and Euphonik DJ at the PDL car-wash in Pimville AKA pimp-the-ville. It must also be said for a Tuesday night this turnout was pretty impressive, you could have sworn people knew that Deco would be in their presence.
Heineken raised the bar for the lovers of football; I can imagine Football Instagram must have blown up with the amount of flash lights in Deco’s face from cam-phones between intervals of the game. I would talk further about what transpired in the matchup between Messi and Boateng, oh pardon me I mean Barcelona versus Bayern but we all know how that panned out.
