FOUR MORE DAYS TO GO UNTIL THE JOBURG FESTIVAL OF BEER TAKES OVER GREENSIDE

Just four days to go until The Joburg Festival of Beer kicks off the beer fun and festivities at Pirates Sports Club on the 27th and 28th September!

Get ready for your taste buds to come alive with a selection of 160 beers from around the country and abroad including brews from the likes of Swagga Brewery, Belgian Beer, Just Brewing, Brauhaus Am Damm, Dog & Fig Brewery, Soweto Gold and Darling Brewery, to name a few!

Enjoy all beer tastings for free, beer tours, brewing demonstrations and plenty more. Also look forward to delicious selection of foods to line those stomachs from Pete Goffe Wood’s Kitchen Cowboys, Wicked Waffles, Baha Tacos, Casalottis Pizza and plenty of meat from Braeside Butchers to accompany pints.

For those who like to get the party started, there will be live music by Pretoria-based folk band Georgetown, indie folk group The Motherland and rocking tunes by DJ Richard Marshall going late into the night.

In Festival of Beer tradition, the biggest beer judging contest in the Southern Hemisphere will take place live from the festival, where the best beers on show will be decided by a panel of carefully-selected judges – including beer connoisseurs, beer writers and brewers on the Saturday. Winners will be announced in the following categories – Best Microbrewed Ale, Best Microbrewed Lager, Best Macrobrewed Ale, Best Macrobrewed Lager and the finally the grand prize of Best Beer on Show!
