MTN BUSHFIRE 2014, Swaziland’s international festival of the arts will take place from May 30th – June 1st 2014. This year’s festival promises the best line-up to date, with artists from over 10 countries and some massive international stars including Ladysmith Black Mambazo and, just announced, one of South Africa’s hottest international exports Spoek Mathambo, and Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi who will add to the line-up already including the 70’s inspired Colombian Salsa artists La 33, SA’s Bongo Maffin and France’s beat box sensations Under Kontrol.

More than 20,000 festival goers will enjoy dozens of artists from all over the world performing at a 100% socially responsible festival. More than just a music festival, MTN BUSHFIRE is a celebration of live music, theatre, poetry, film, circus, dance and visual arts.

A vibrant handcraft market, family-friendly performances & KidZone make MTN BUSHFIRE 2014 the ideal festival for anyone looking for a magical and memorable experience suitable for all.

In addition, the interactive art and dialogue space, The Barn, will feature a contemporary art exhibition titled ‘Swaziland NOW!’, which sees local and international visual artists “bringing their fire” and exploring the issues of contemporary Swaziland. Along with the exhibition, there will be a series of musical, dramatic, poetic performances and hosted panel discussions.

By promoting creative expression and social responsibility, MTN BUSHFIRE is the only festival that donates 100% of its profits to charity and actively encourages festival goers to get involved and to be part of the magic. Make a difference and #BRINGYOURFIRE.

ABOUT MTN BUSHFIRE FESTIVAL
Formed in 2006, MTN BUSHFIRE has a well-deserved reputation for its visionary approach. The festival aims to develop the arts whilst promoting social responsibility. Through its thoroughly innovative and development focused approach, the festival gives back to the people of Swaziland with 100% of profits donated to two Swazi charities; Young Heroes, a child sponsorship programme assisting Swazi orphans, and Gone Rural boMake, a charity that assists rural Swazi women and the communities with information and infrastructure development, addressing health, education and social concerns.
